# Email API Batch Sending Now Supports Up to 1,000 Recipients

# Email API: Batch sending now supports up to 1,000 recipients

The Telnyx Email API now supports up to 1,000 email messages in a single batch request, up from the previous limit of 50\. Send large transactional and marketing batches in one API call instead of splitting them across multiple requests.

### What is new

* **Batch endpoint:** Send up to 1,000 messages per request via `POST /v2/email_messages/batch`. Each message is validated and sent independently.
* **Per-message fields:** Every message in the batch supports from, to, cc, bcc, reply\_to, subject, html\_body, text\_body, custom headers, attachments, and template\_id with per-message template\_variables.
* **207 Multi-Status response:** All batch responses return HTTP 207\. Successful sends appear in `data`, failures in `errors`. Per-message failures do not affect other messages in the batch.

### Why it matters

* **Reduces API calls by 20x:** Fewer requests for the same volume of email.
* **Simplifies integration logic:** One request, one response, no pagination or chunking code.
* **Cuts request overhead:** Less rate-limit friction and lower total latency for bulk sends.

### Getting started

1. Sign up and get your API key.
2. Call `POST /v2/email_messages/batch` with up to 1,000 messages in the `messages` array.
3. Check the 207 response: `data` for successes, `errors` for any failures.
