# Telnyx Answering Machine Detection

### 13, Feb 2020

Telnyx customers can now access a new feature available with our Call Control API — Answering Machine Detection. The new feature means you can receive webhooks to let you know:

* Whether a call has been answered by a human or a machine.
* If a machine picks up the call, when the greeting ends.
