As the Telnyx telephony engine becomes more complex over time, there were some challenges that we had to overcome to ensure that it continues to run smoothly.

This presentation outlines such challenges and how we're currently monitoring and testing the telephony engine from our customer's perspective (out of band) outside of the Telnyx backbone to ensure that all types of calls (inbound, outbound, TLS, SRTP, e911, t38, etc.) are completed without issues. This monitoring setup allows us to detect early issues before customers even notice anything. It also allows us to detect issues in the development environment before deployment into production.
Francisco is an information systems engineer from Universidad Tecnologica Nacional in Argentina. Currently a DevOps Engineer at Telnyx, he's worked with several companies in the past like Daimler-Chrysler (Mercedes-Benz) and IBM, as well as the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba. His background includes roles in the past as systems administrator and network administrator. In his free time, he likes to spend time doing DIY electronics projects and is a big fan of outdoor sports like kitesurfing and snowboarding.
