We’ve got exciting news for our customers across Asia-Pacific: Telnyx has launched GPU infrastructure in Sydney. This marks a big step forward for Voice AI in Australia, and for enterprises across the region who are ready to deliver real-time, human-like voice experiences at scale.
Until now, businesses in APAC looking to deploy Voice AI often had to deal with infrastructure that was an ocean away. That meant increased latency, and sometimes jitter and frustrating call quality. With GPUs now live in Sydney, co-located directly with our telephony Point of Presence (PoP), Telnyx can process interactions locally and keep round-trip times under 200ms. This release also means Telnyx now supports Programmable Voice capabilities in Australia. Users can now anchor their call media in Australia by choosing the Sydney AnchorSite in the portal.
What does that mean in practice? Conversations that feel instant, more engaging customer experiences, and the reliability enterprises need when voice is mission-critical.
Because Telnyx operates a full telephony PoP in Australia and routes call data across our private global network, the quality of calls is significantly higher than other providers that rely on the public internet. This architecture not only keeps calls clear and consistent, it also ensures that all data stays on a single, secure network, giving enterprises peace of mind that their Voice AI is both resilient and compliant.
This launch builds on our Sydney office opening last month, where we brought in sales and engineering teams to support our fast-growing APAC customer base. Now with GPUs launched in Sydney and colocated alongside our telephony Point of Presence (PoP), Australian enterprises have access to ultra-low-latency, high-quality voice infrastructure that keeps conversations natural and reliable. Local customers benefit from both world-class infrastructure and on-the-ground expertise, a combination that makes it easier to deploy Voice AI at scale and deliver engaging customer experiences.
High-quality, low-latency communications aren’t just a “nice-to-have”, they’re what makes Voice AI usable in the real world. Whether it’s a bank helping customers authenticate in seconds, a hospital routing urgent patient calls, or a travel company handling a surge of bookings, the difference between a laggy interaction and a seamless one is the difference between frustration and trust. By colocating GPUs with our PoPs, Telnyx solves the physics problem that slows other providers down. That’s why enterprises across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia can now count on Voice AI that’s faster, more reliable, and more secure.
Telnyx is dedicated to giving customers everywhere access to in-region Voice AI and communications. For more than a decade we’ve connected users around the world through our private global telephony network, which now spans 17+ Points of Presence. This foundation has enabled us to serve thousands of customers, ensuring that voice conversations stay clear, reliable, and secure across borders.
That’s why we continue to expand our global footprint, bringing GPUs online in Paris, now Sydney, and with more deployments on the horizon. By layering GPU infrastructure next to PoPs, we’re extending this legacy into the AI era. The result is a truly global Voice AI platform, one that empowers businesses everywhere to deliver consistent, human-like conversations, simplify global operations, and meet customer expectations in every market.
This is just the beginning. We’re continuing to expand our global network so enterprises everywhere can build and scale Voice AI solutions with confidence.
