New security feature: Port-Out PIN Protection

In our continuous efforts to enhance security measures and protect our valued customers, we’re thrilled to announce the release of our latest feature: Port-Out PIN Protection.

We designed this feature to provide an additional layer of security for your account, preventing unauthorized port-out attempts and ensuring your personal information remains secure. Please note that Port-Out PIN Protection is available for on-net US numbers only.

What is Port-Out PIN Protection?

Port-Out PIN Protection is a robust security feature that adds an extra level of protection to your account. It acts as a safeguard against unauthorized porting out of your phone number to another service provider without your consent.

By enabling this feature, you significantly reduce the risk of identity theft, SIM swapping attacks, and fraudulent attempts to gain control over your phone number.

How does Port-Out PIN Protection work?

When you enable Port-Out PIN Protection, you’re required to set up a unique PIN associated with your account. This PIN will serve as an additional authentication step whenever a port-out request is initiated. If an unauthorized attempt to transfer your number is made, the port-out process will be blocked unless the correct PIN is provided.

Get started with Port-Out PIN Protection

You can enable Port-Out PIN Protection in three easy steps:

1. Log into your Mission Control Portal account.
2. In the navigation bar on the left side of the screen, click on the Account Settings dropdown menu and then select My Account.
3. On the General tab of your Account Settings, scroll down to the Security section and click to toggle Enable Port-Out Pins.
