DPS Diagnostics and Monitoring Now Available

15, Sep 2026

Telnyx now provides real-time visibility into outbound dial per second (DPS) usage with threshold alerts and webhook notifications, so high-volume voice customers can monitor capacity, diagnose throughput bottlenecks, and prevent call queuing before it affects performance.

What's new

  • DPS usage dashboard: Real-time visibility into outbound dials per second against your configured capacity limit, with historical trends to identify patterns and bottlenecks.
  • Threshold notifications: Configure alerts that fire when DPS approaches or exceeds configured thresholds, so teams can act before traffic hits capacity limits.
  • Webhook events: DPS threshold events push to your webhook endpoints, enabling automated responses in your monitoring or orchestration systems.
  • Mission Control configuration: Set up DPS monitoring and alerts directly in Mission Control with no API call required.

Why it matters

High-volume outbound operations, contact centers, and AI voice agent deployments live and die by throughput. When call traffic exceeds your dials-per-second capacity, calls queue, latency spikes, and call attempts fail silently. Until now, customers had no visibility into how close they were to their DPS limits until problems surfaced as failed calls or complaints. DPS diagnostics surface this data in real time and push alerts before throughput becomes a problem, giving operations teams the tool they need to scale confidently.

Example use cases

  • Contact centers running high-volume outbound dialers that need to catch throughput limits before call quality degrades.
  • AI voice agent deployments scaling concurrent calls where DPS limits can bottleneck session creation.
  • Notification campaigns sending time-sensitive alerts where call queuing directly affects delivery speed.

Getting started

  1. In Mission Control, navigate to Voice → DPS Monitoring.
  2. View your current DPS usage and historical trends.
  3. Configure threshold alerts under the Notifications tab.
  4. Set up webhook delivery for DPS events under Webhooks → Add Webhook.
