GoDaddy is the world's largest domain registrar and one of the most widely used web services platforms, serving more than 20 million customers, most of them small businesses and entrepreneurs. Behind that scale sits a telecommunications organization responsible for how the company talks to its customers, from support calls to verification messages.
Today that organization runs its customer support communications on Telnyx. The rollout did not happen all at once. It expanded product by product, each one driven by a real operational need.
GoDaddy started with SIP Trunking, Voice API, SMS, and a global number fleet covering local, toll-free, national, and mobile lines. Those were the foundation, and they ran from day one. Telnyx Voice AI Agents came next. Conversational AI agents handled customer calls end to end on Telnyx infrastructure, and the calls held up under real customer traffic. Once Voice AI proved out, the next needs followed naturally.
Call Control handled origination and routing for AI calls, with SIP REFER managing in-call transfers between agents and destinations without dropping the caller. Noise suppression cleaned the audio on AI calls so automated systems could act on it.
The Telnyx Inference API came alongside. GoDaddy was already running language models for its support agents, and routing inference through Telnyx kept the AI layer and the network path on the same platform. Prompt caching helped reduce the cost of serving repeated system prompts at scale.
The number fleet kept growing too.
Messaging expanded on the same platform. MMS came online in late 2025, then WhatsApp verification in mid-2026 for account security, with SMS carrying high-volume messaging workloads throughout.
The pattern is consistent: start with one product, prove it works, expand to the next. Each adoption was driven by a real need, and each one deepened the relationship.
Without Telnyx, GoDaddy would need separate providers for:
That means multiple vendors, integrations, contracts, bills, and support relationships.
With Telnyx, those capabilities sit on one platform, with one bill and one support relationship.
As GoDaddy's requirements grow, it can add capabilities to the existing stack instead of adding another vendor. One platform carries all of it, with one support channel behind it.
What began as communications infrastructure has expanded into a broader stack spanning voice, messaging, numbers, and AI.
For GoDaddy, the pattern remains simple: prove a capability in production, then expand. The next phase is already in motion: deeper Voice AI coverage in support flows, messaging verification at scale, and expanded Voice AI adoption.
One platform from first call to full scale. No resellers, no hand-offs, no gaps.
