Telnyx now supports Canada as a data storage location in Mission Control Portal. Customers deploying voice and AI workflows in Canada can keep call recordings, transcripts, AI conversation data, and usage logs at rest within Canadian borders.
Canadian privacy regulation under PIPEDA, and provincial laws like Quebec’s Law 25, increasingly require that personal and customer data remain within Canadian jurisdiction. For enterprises in regulated sectors such as banking, healthcare, and insurance, data residency is a procurement gate, not a preference. With this release, Telnyx customers deploying Voice AI, call recording, and analytics workflows in Canada can meet those requirements on infrastructure operated by Telnyx, without routing voice data across the US border. Canada joins USA, Germany, Australia, and UAE as the fifth data storage region, reflecting continued investment in regional infrastructure for compliance-sensitive customers.
Existing data will be migrated to the new location, taking a few minutes up to several hours depending on your data size.
