Native support for Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 in Voice AI Assistants

6, Feb 2026

Telnyx Voice AI Assistants now support Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 as a native model option. Developers can deploy the model without managing Anthropic API keys, while BYOK remains available for teams that need it.

What’s new

  • Native Claude Haiku 4.5: Select anthropic/claude-haiku-4-5 directly in Voice AI Assistant settings.
  • No API key required: Use the model out of the box on Telnyx infrastructure.
  • BYOK support: Provide your own Anthropic API key if required.
  • Model flexibility: Switch between Anthropic and OpenAI models per assistant.
  • Consistent performance: Same latency targets and uptime guarantees as other native models.

Why it matters

  • Reduces setup time: Removes external Anthropic account and key management.
  • Improves evaluation: Makes side-by-side model testing easier within the same assistant flow.
  • Simplifies cost control: Supports native Telnyx pricing or existing Anthropic agreements.
  • Maintains operational consistency: Keeps Voice AI behavior predictable across models.

Example use cases

  • Voice assistants that need fast, lightweight responses.
  • Teams comparing Anthropic and OpenAI model behavior in production.
  • Existing Anthropic users migrating from BYOK to native deployment.
