WHY TELNYX FOR EUROPE

Production-ready AI infrastructure

Voice AI, hosted models and EU AI Act compliance, on infrastructure Telnyx owns in the EU.

  • Voice AI Agents

    Voice AI

Voice agents in English, Spanish, French and German, with 100+ languages on the platform. HD audio. Responses in under 500ms end to end.

  • Inference

    Hosted models on EU GPUs

Run open-weight models on owned GPUs in Paris and Frankfurt. OpenAI-compatible endpoints. Prompts and outputs are processed in the EU.

  • EU AI Act Ready

    EU AI Act ready

Built-in AI disclosure, voice labeling, and PII redaction. Every Telnyx agent is EU AI Act-ready from the first call.

EU AI ACT Ready

The EU AI Act and voice agents

What Article 50 asks of businesses that run voice agents in the EU, and how Telnyx helps you meet it. Article 50 of the EU AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026. It covers AI systems that interact directly with people, so voice agents are in scope. The business that builds and runs the agent is responsible for meeting it. Your platform decides how easy that is.

What the Act saysOn Telnyx platform
DisclosureCallers must be told they are interacting with an AI system, unless this is obvious from the context. They must be told at the first interaction at the latest.Disclosure is part of conversation design. The agent flow supports an explicit disclosure at the start of the call.
Marking synthetic audioSynthetic audio must be marked in a machine-readable format and be detectable as artificially generated. Systems on the market before 2 August 2026 have until 2 December 2026.Watermarking hook at the text-to-speech layer.
EvidenceAuthorities can ask a business to show how it meets these obligations. Clear records make that simple. One vendor's records instead of four. One DPA, one sub-processor list, and one platform covering the call, the speech and the inference.

Why architecture matters

Compliance stays your responsibility with any vendor. An integrated stack changes how easily you can show it. When the carrier network, the speech pipeline and inference run on one platform in the EU, the records a regulator asks for come from one place. Data residency is part of the architecture, not only a clause in a contract.

This is general information, not legal advice.

How It Works

Telephony and GPUs, colocated at the edge

Telnyx runs AI compute, telephony, and edge nodes in the same European facilities. When a Frankfurt user connects, every layer of the stack is just one network hop away.

OUR INFRASTRUCTURE

Five vendors is a Frankenstack. One stack is a platform.

Stitching a carrier, an STT vendor, an LLM host, a TTS vendor and an orchestration layer into one agent builds a Frankenstack. Every vendor boundary adds delay the caller can hear, and every dashboard shows only part of the conversation. Telnyx closes the loop in under 500ms end to end on one private network. AI Insights shows you every conversation from start to finish.

WHAT'S UNDER THE HOOD?

Your European AI toolkit

Numbers, licenses and teams in Europe. Your data stays in the EU at rest, in motion and during processing.

  • Numbers we operate

European numbers that Telnyx operates on its own network. SMS and WhatsApp work on the same number.

  • Licensed carrier

Telnyx holds its own carrier licenses in more than 45 markets. Numbers and voice coverage in 140+ countries, from one provider.

  • Teams in Amsterdam and Dublin

Work with Telnyx staff based in Amsterdam and Dublin.

  • Data stored in the EU

Call recordings, transcripts and logs are encrypted in European data centers. You keep full control over retention and deletion to meet GDPR requirements.

  • Calls routed in Europe

Voice traffic travels over our private network through European infrastructure, with no offshore hops.

  • Processing on EU GPUs

STT, TTS and LLM inference run on owned GPUs in Paris and Frankfurt. Your audio never leaves the region for processing.

SOVEREIGNTY

Sovereignty is a parameter, not a promise.

One company holds the license, the fiber, and the GPUs in region: the call, the model, and the data live under one jurisdiction, and you set it in the request.
