Telnyx Cloud Storage Now Available in Canada

Telnyx Cloud Storage is now available in ca-central-1 (Canada), with the same full capabilities as US and APAC regions. Users can create knowledge bases and general object storage buckets in Canada, with S3-compatible access over the AWS S3 API.

What's new

  • ca-central-1 region: Buckets in Canada with endpoint ca-central-1.telnyxcloudstorage.com, joining us-central-1, us-east-1, us-west-1, eu-central-1, and ap-southeast-1.
  • Full feature parity with US and APAC: Presigned URLs, public buckets, SSL certificates, and object lock all supported on day one, unlike EU which launched with a limited subset.
  • Knowledge bases in Canada: AI knowledge bases can now be created in ca-central-1, alongside general object storage buckets.
  • S3-compatible access: AWS SDKs, AWS CLI, and third-party S3 clients work unchanged with your Telnyx API key.

Why it matters

Canadian customers who need data residency can now store objects in Canada without compromising on feature availability. EU customers had to wait for feature parity; CA launches with the full set. AI agents running on Telnyx Edge Compute can read and write objects from a Canadian bucket with zero S3 keys via Cloud Storage bindings, keeping data and compute in the same region.

Each new region adds capability, not complexity. The same S3 API, the same authentication, the same billing model, now in six regions across three continents.

  • AI agents serving Canadian customers, with inference and storage colocated in ca-central-1 for lower latency.

Getting started

  1. In Mission Control, navigate to Object Storage and select Create Bucket.
  2. Choose ca-central-1 as the region.
  3. Use the endpoint ca-central-1.telnyxcloudstorage.com with your AWS CLI or SDK, authenticating with your Telnyx API key.
