A Dutch phone number in international format has three parts. The trunk 0 is removed before +31.
+31 | 20 | 1234567
+31 | 6 | 12345678
After +31, Dutch numbers contain 9 digits. Landlines use a 2-3 digit area code and a 6-7 digit subscriber number. Mobile numbers use 6 followed by 8 digits.
| Number type | Pattern | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Amsterdam landline | +31 20 XXX XXXX | +31 20 123 4567 |
| Rotterdam landline | +31 10 XXX XXXX | +31 10 123 4567 |
| Dutch mobile | +31 6 XXXX XXXX | +31 6 1234 5678 |

WhatsApp and similar apps do not charge per minute for app-to-app calls, but your internet or roaming plan may charge for data. Business callers can use SIP Trunking with usage-based pricing for the lowest per-minute rates.
